Jabra Elite: Left headphone doesn’t work – How to solve the problem

by Pramith

If your Jabra Elite left headphones do not work, this will disrupt the listening experience, especially with music. However, in most cases, a reset will remedy the problem and ensure that the device is working properly

Reset Jabra Elite when left headphone doesn’t work

As with a headset, it’s annoying when only one side of the Jabra Elite works. A partial reset will ensure that the device works properly again. To do this, follow the steps below:

  • Get your Jabra Elite headphones out of the charging case and check that you are connected to your mobile device.
  • Now place only the left headphone back into the charging case and leave it open. The LED should now flash red.
  • Wait about half a minute before you take the left headphones out of the charging case again. Then reconnect the right headphones. The problem should now be solved.

Jabra Elite headphones: cleaning up problems

If the above instructions do not work because the left headset is not flashing red, you can clean the charging case:

  • If the contacts or poles on the charging case are dirty, they may not be charging properly. Clean them carefully with a dry microfibre cloth.
  • You can clean the charging terminals on your Jabra Elite headphones in the same way. Never use water or detergent to do this, it can damage the headphones!
  • If you want to perform a complete reset, you must press the multifunction button for ten seconds. A violet light signals that the reset has been carried out. All settings are now deleted and the connection with your unit must be re-established.
