There is no classic right-click on the iPad. However, the context menu for the Safari browser can be opened with a different trick. We’ll tell you how it works
Stage a right click in the iPad Safari
The right-click with the mouse, familiar from computer operating systems, opens a context menu to save images, copy lines of text or open links in a new tab, for example. In Safari on the iPad or iPhone, you call up such functions as follows:
- Touch the image, text or link for which you want to access the right-click options. Keep your finger on the screen until the desired context menu appears.
- Now you can easily save images or copy lines of text and hyperlinks and paste them wherever you want.
- In iOS Chrome, by the way, this works identically, except that you are offered different functions in the context menu.
- By the way, you can use a Bluetooth keyboard with a mouse pad to right-click as usual by pressing the right side of the mouse pad.
