Connecting a Bluetooth keyboard to your iPad makes typing easier. We show you how to register it with your iPad in this tip.

Connecting a Bluetooth keyboard to your iPad

Make sure the Bluetooth keyboard is turned on and ready to use. Open the settings on your iPad.

  • Switch to the “Bluetooth” menu.
  • If your Bluetooth is turned on, iPad will automatically search for available devices.
  • If you select the Bluetooth keyboard, a dialogue box appears. This contains the code for the connection request.
  • Type in the number combination on the Bluetooth keyboard and confirm.
  • Your Bluetooth keyboard is now successfully registered with the iPad.
  • Tip: If a simple keyboard is not enough for you, you can also create a Magic Keyboard, which effectively turns the tablet into a laptop. In combination with an Apple Pencil, you are perfectly equipped for an efficient workflow.
